Monsieur Vincent DeMaro has returned from his almost year-long absence from the DeMaro Manor; however he is rather tired and has been needing his rest for the while being.
Gossip stirs that he will be holding a large ball in a short week's time, but he has yet to send out invitations, get the orchestra together and ready his household for it. Perhaps your story teller got the date wrong, no living mortal could plan a ball within a week's time..

The vampires here at DeMaro Manor are very choosey about who is and isn't in their clan, we heal fast, can see far with clarity, have quick reflexes and abilities, have a higher intelligence, and hunger for blood of which is usually obtained through animals, however a sedative is often given to those who cannot control themselves.

Most vampires have darker coloured hair and eyes, blond or copper hair and blue eyes are rare amongst vampires, and often are distasteful as it shows that human blood was transformed. Only 'true' vampires have dark hair and eyes. “True vampires” are vampires that have been born of already vampire race, which means their dame and sire were both vampire, and usually the genes continue farther back; the clan leader is of 'true vampire' race.
